Aratika Cancer Trust is excited to have Petrea King & Wendi Batho from Quest for Life return to facilitate another 5 day/4 night Wellbeing Retreat for us from Fri Mar 27th-Tues Mar 31st 2020 at the Tauhara Centre, Acacia Bay, Lake Taupo.
Petrea is a well-known author, inspirational keynote speaker, teacher and facilitator. She is also qualified as a naturopath, herbalist, clinical hypnotherapist, yoga and meditation teacher.
In 1983 Petrea was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and was not expected to live. However, she will share her story having survived and will inspire us with what she has learned along the way.
She is at the forefront of wellness education and is a frequent lecturer at medical and other conferences. She has written 9 best selling books & runs programmes at the Quest for Life Foundation, which she founded in NSW Australia.
This Retreat is for people with a cancer diagnosis past or present who are interested in learning integrative lifestyle medicine they can implement themselves to help improve their own health. We align ourselves along side western medicine and provide practical support for a person alongside their medical journey. We recommend bringing a support person if you can, they will take part in all sessions and join in for all meals & activities too.
Attendee's are invited to join us at any stage of their cancer journey past or present.
You do need to be able to manage your own daily health including pain relief and bring along any medications you require. We are 20 minutes from a doctor/hospital.

The Tauhara Centre has the following:
The bunkrooms are fresh and clean (some have single and/or double bunk beds) they come complete with linen/towels and the use of shared bathrooms just outside the bunkroom door. $695 per person shared (two people per bunkroom) or $795.00 for your own bunkroom.
There are four self-contained cottages available, each can sleep 2 people, either in a double bed or 2 beds. These are $795 per person - best for couples or 2 friends. (These book out quickly)
We have premium B&B accommodation available at the Acacia Heights Garden.
Share a premium room with my support person - off-site private 'B&B' Accommodation $850pp (or as a single $1,130pp)
All of the above prices include accommodation, delicious, tasty plant-based meals, daily juices and the 5-day programme.

**Subsidies may be available for the bunkroom option depending on funding available to us, let us know if a subsidy would make it easier for you to attend.
Cancellations received more than 3 weeks prior to program commencement will incur a Non-Refundable Fee of $200 per booking. Cancellations received less than 3 weeks prior to program commencement will incur a Non-Refundable Fee of $300 per booking. No refunds are given once the Retreat has commenced.
Transfer Policy - If you are unable to attend, you may be able to transfer to another Aratika Cancer Trust Retreat.
