Jane delightfully accepting Trustee status.

Proudly wearing her name tag!

Jane Saunders blessed us at Aratika. Jane was a courageous spirit living her life with enthusiasm until her very last breath.  In response to her cancer diagnosis she created a legacy of art that continues to support Aratika and Pinc & Steel Taupō.  Jane also created a support network for people with cancer in her community of Taupō.

Jane responded to cancer with the desire to help others.  She said she was privileged to be a Trustee with us.  But we know that it is us who were privileged, we were graced with Jane's love and desire to serve.  We are honoured and humbled that she joined us!

Donations received with gratitude.

  • Artist, a lifetime goal.

  • Taught 'Journaling and Art' workshops online with Canteen and Aratika Cancer Trust.

  • Facilitated Creative Art Therapy at two Aratika Retreats Nov 2019, 2020.

  • Created the Taupo Cancer Coffee Support Group 'My Tribe'.

  • Designed her own Art Exhibition - All funds generously donated to Pinc & Steel.

  • Set up her own website that tells her story 'Janes First Term'

  • She was fabulous, funny, feisty, and fearless along the way!
